Head of Solutions Design and Performance Delivery

I’ve been with Smiths News for 20 years, starting as a newspaper and magazine delivery driver while raising my daughters. Working nights allowed me to be there for their big moments. Over the years, I’ve progressed through a variety of management and leadership roles. I recently stepped into ‘Head of Solutions Design and Performance Delivery’, this new role is all about leading the design and delivery of operational solutions that drive growth and performance across Smiths News. My focus is on seamless implementation of new business, embedding a performance, and will be supported by using data-driven insights to optimise supply chain and service delivery. Working closely with commercial teams and other function stakeholders.

My favourite thing about working at Smiths News is the opportunity for continuous growth. Even after 20 years, my development journey has never stopped I’ve recently stepped into my 15th role within the business.

Family means everything to me. In my downtime, I spend time with my husband and our three daughters, they mean the world to me. I love going on holidays with my family also.

I would tell my younger self to focus on developing technology skills, especially in areas like AI, and to stay adaptable as technology evolves.
