Contract Compliance Coordinator

I have worked for Smiths News for 30 years. My day-to-day responsibilities include safeguarding the business by ensuring full compliance with our self-employed contractor model. I manage a team within the contract compliance area, where I provide support and guidance to the Network whenever needed. The team coordinate all contract creation at both engagement and renewal stages and ensure that payments to contract holders are processed on time. A key part of my role is identifying areas of risk and working with the relevant teams to ensure those risks are effectively addressed and removed.

Over the years I’ve met some amazing individuals who have become friends, not just colleagues.

I love catching up with friends and putting the world to rights. One of my favourite things is taking my American Cocker Spaniel for walks in the field and, when weather permits, along the beach — although trying to wash him when we get home is definitely less fun for us both!

Don’t be afraid of stepping outside of your comfort zone and speak out if you want to progress. You really don’t have to have it all figured out from the off, and don’t ever think it’s not worth it.
